To commemorate the historical event of Youth Day in South Africa on 16 June, the Johannesburg
Sub-Centre undertook a distribution at the Thandanani Children's House of Refuge in Zandspruit. The organization currently supports the well being of 23 children. The children have been adhering to the lockdown since March this year and have yet to return to school.
The following items were donated:
Vegetables : 21kg potates, 8 kg sweet potatoes, 6 kg butternut, 6 kg oranges, 5 kg carrots.
Groceries : 7.2 kg corn flakes porridge, 10 kg rice, 24 litre of milk, 12.5 kg maize meal, 5 kg sugar and other daily items such as milo, biscuits.
Hygiene products : bath soap, 96 packs of sanitary towels.
